Extreme makeover
Around New Year’s Day, The Daily Scroll will be getting a facelift. Some changes you can expect:
- Three columns, all packed with useful info
- Headlines will replace conventional posts so that more can be packed onto the homepage
- Sections with videos and spiritual insights from bloggers, updated each day
In addition, a sister site of The Daily Scroll’s will be launched, offering material that is of interest to church leaders, more exclusively (pastors, seminarians, etc.). Thereafter, The Daily Scroll will focus on material that layfolk can appreciate.
Have a restful break, and please stop by again around January 1!
In Christ,
Chris

A story from WorldNet Daily (HT: Gene Veith):
“Hindu extremists may have burned a 10-year-old Christian girl’s face, inflicted shrapnel wounds on 40 percent of her body and forced her family to hide in a forest and flee to a refugee camp in Orissa, India, but her plight hasn’t shaken her faith and thankfulness to God this season …”

Review of Steve Farrar’s God Built
by John Starke, at the Gender Blog:
“Steve Farrar aims to beef up his reader’s theology. Farrar assumes his readers desire to become a stronger Christian man, and his advice to accomplish that is to learn what God’s providence is and how to trust in it. The titles of each of his chapter begin “He is in Control Over….” losses, events, broken hopes, etc. To become a stronger, godly man is to know and trust in the sovereign providence of God. Amen.”
